About Sanjeeb
Hi,
I am a professional Indian Classical SITAR performer / teacher based at New Delhi. My music career is about 30 years old, in the course of which I have performed and taught at many places in India, Europe, USA and England. I play other styles of music including Indo-Jazz Fusion, Jazz, Experimental, and Fusion, and being a Christian, Christian music also. Other instruments I play include the Piano, Tabla, Guitar and Voice but the sitar is my main instrument. Prominent among my teachers are Ustad Shujaat Khan, Late Pandit Banwari Lal, (1912-2003) of Allahabad, Dr. Raj Bhan Singh and Dr. K.C. Gangrade, Heads of the Dept. of Music, Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Formal academic education in music include a Master’s Degree in Indian Music, Sitar, (Sangeet Praveen) of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, India, and Fifth Grade in Piano of the Trinity Collage of Music, England, London besides coaching from other imminent teachers for many years. I have crossed fifty years of age but don’t feel that old. I am interested to connect with people in the field of music, for professional, or any other good reason.
