Elaiyuthir Kalam

This weekend I was listening to some of my old recordings and I came across this song. The original track for this song was done as a reference track for the singer for the online album blogswara. I decided to spice it up a little by adding another rhythm/bass part and it sounded much better. I have retained the original vocals. The inspiration for this tune was from the a poem written by Udhaya, where he writes about the changing colors of Autumn (Elaiyuthir Kalam – Tamil) . I have tried to capture this color in the melody and the arrangements by using the notes from Ragam Hamsadhwani. The intervals of this scale adds plenty of brightness to the music, especially the movement from E to G to B .
