I was in my home studio mixing a little vocal that i got & i got of coz i had a headache & my friend who is also a editer comes in & he starts & i ask him a quetion do u knw wat is a proper method & he says no,So i do search it & it turns out there r millions of ways. But couple of them r very famous
1) They start wid the kick of the drums,Than the hat, crymbals come next, than the bass & so on & so on to the next & they finish everything, like all the effects panning would be done than they will go to the next level.
2) (My personal favourite) U start wid leveling everything so no instrument or vocals step on each other.Than u go on editing everything the same time changing something when it sounds bad.So in this way u got the sound of the overall project so it;s my choice.
Now why i started dis discussion was to get some more techniques & stuff so plz share coz we all r learning.

Ya, for even professionals, we do the same way..first the kick, ending to the whole rhythm section, then bass, then vocals and then all add ovrs..last for me, comes the music sections (BGM’s)...nothing like a perfect way..everyone is an expert in their own way and the are comfortable in tht!!!![]()

Well AKa, there r loads of speakers..Personally, i like the genelec speakers..But the results may vary according to ur room, acoustics!!! If u have any idea of wat kinda budget u can invest for speakers, i will suggest u a good one!!!

Sunny – Lets make some music!!!
for mix i wud 1st listen to my tracks seperately(offcourse not in case of 150 tracks).i wud definitely start with rythm section.compression wud b the 1st thing to do(i dont trust plugins for indian classical).wud listen everything again move on to other instrument bass/guitar.compression is something which wud be used regularly.for me i double track string instruments a lot and pan them.in bollywood thr r lots of flashy stuff available but i m working with the few primitive tool and dont really want to do bollywood music.the basic funda which i wud keep is never equalise/compress in solo mode one by one.apply an effect listen to it over all and move on…apply again and move on…but one has to compensate equalisation on every step…so u actually keep moving forward and backward…i like to work a lot on tones.in the end when i get the correct tone and get quite clear seperation between tracks inhereantly,i wud balance them out and yes i havent worked on much of vocals as yet so i wud not talk abt vocals…hope we can discuss more…..
WEll my budgetting is quite upset ,becoz bhai log ne mera cell pick pocket ker liya tha & i am not risking my life for a cell so my bidget is abt 3 000 Rs or 50 pathetic $.Any suggestions, but i cold wait for a while.
