I personally don’t find anything great about brian. Listen to herbie hancock, chick corea, art tatum. Even yanni isn’t that gr8!
Cannot agree more ..Especailly chick corea, Joe Sample…But i like Yanni’s rythmpatterns and certain expressions.
But then the question is…..why arent even piano players/keybordists fusing these technics….so much is being done in the west and even south east nations..india still largely remains piano ignorant:-(
May be becos pianos themselves n piano learning in India is costly and not easily available?!
I agree….Everything bout a piano is xpensive…buying them, tuning them..maintaining them…and getting good teachers to give lessons…an expensive affair. But…its worth it:-)
yea…the yamaha DGX series are like baby pianos! lol…may be indians can afford those ones…even a baby korg piano costs anything like 60000 etc.
the problem with brian is that his touch isn’t that great and his style is a bit boring…even average pianists in the west have a better touch…:)
