hmm.. a feature that easy-share.com(there r many other sites too) provides..
“Remote upload: We download a file from any http or ftp server and upload it to your account at Easy-share.com.”
lets say if i already have uploaded my file to http://someserver.com/somefile.mp3 then i need not upload it again to muziboo. i will only provide the link to the file and muziboo will download it to its server and add to my account.. ( and yes there can be restrictions to how many files we can remotely upload each day to prevent misuse)
Oh .. ok .. now that is quite interesting … I am just not sure of the misuse factor as you said. Let me think about it a bit … Do you have lots of music already uploaded somewhere ?
I think a typical misuse would be someone uploading songs that they do not own .. the effort will be very less and therefore the possibility quite high
hmm the misuse factor that i mentioned actualy refers to the act of remote uploading many many songs a day(efffort will be less at the part of the user) so it may add to the server load. If limit is there on the number or remote uploads then i dont think there will be any problem..
@prateek Getting direct download links to copyrighted songs is most of the time not possible :) so i dont think anyone can or will misuse it that way..
what does that mean
I also didnt get you!
